Congratulations to the Wheatland FFA members who competed at the 2019 Wyoming State Convention! The WHS Chapter finished as the top overall chapter and won the sweepstakes. The sweepstakes is the biggest award given out at state and is awarded to the best chapter in five events.
Environmental and Natural Resources- State Champion Team- D. Amundson (High Individual), K. Hicks (2nd High Individual), R. Cotterman (3rd High Individual), L. Mann (10th High Individual)
Farm & Agribusiness Management- State Champion Team- C. Moody (High Individual), T. Paisley (4th High Individual), D. Amundson (5th High Individual), K. Preuit (6th High Individual)
Livestock Evaluation- State Champion Team- R. Cotterman (5th High Individual), T. Paisley (7th High Individual), C. Connell (37th), K. Meyer (44th), This team was just consistent enough to get it done. High team in reasons, 3rd high team in beef and swine. High team in sheep.
Horse Evaluation- 5th overall as a team- R. Christiansen (5th High Individual), B. Cordingly, B. Tamlin, K. Hockley.
Poultry Evaluation- 7th overall as a team- B. Fredericks (2nd high Individual in reasons), C. Hockley, R. Geschwell, K. Davis.
Vet Science- 10th overall as a team- R. Harnish (6th High Individual), H. Metz (7th High Individual), S. May (8th High Individual).
